Active voting rights

Every Austrian citizen whose primary residence is in the Tyrol is entitled to vote provided he/she has not been disqualified from exercising the right to vote and has attained the age of 16 by the date of the election. Furthermore, Austrian citizens who had their primary residence in the Tyrol before moving abroad are also entitled to vote by post – for a maximum of ten years.

Passive voting rights

Every citizen entitled to vote for the Tyrolean Parliament is eligible to stand for election provided he/she has reached the age of 18 by the date of the election.
